Course Requirements

A.  Four Term Examinations taken in class in weeks 4, 6, 8, and 10.  60%

B. Memorandum of Points and Authorities for the Final Examination Hypothetical Problem. 40%

All of the examinations in the course will be taken by each student, individually.  

The Memorandum of Points and Authorities for the Final Examination Hypothetical Problem will be developed by study groups but will be submitted on an individual basis.

The Early Bird Bonus Rule:  Submission of the Final Examination (the Memorandum of Points and Authorities written in response to the final problem) must occur no later than the end of the scheduled final examination period on March 17th (i.e. by 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17th).  There will be absolutely no exceptions to this ultimate deadline for submitting the final examination. 

However, students can earn an automatic bonus of ten per cent of the mark assigned for the final examination work if it is submitted early, which means by the beginning of the day on March 17th (i.e. by 9:30 a.m. on that day).

Each and every one of the course requirements (A and B, above) must be completed to earn a passing grade.  

No absences from campus during scheduled examinations, nor any missing examinations, will be excused at any point during the term, except on presentation in advance of a signed and verifiable note from a physician, counselor, or dean.
